Prenatal nutrition, week by week

Eat for the week you’re in.

Nutribump turns your due date into daily nutrient targets, reads your meals from a photo, and answers your questions with evidence-based nutrition information.

Educational guidance. Not medical advice.

Sample data. Screens show an example patient at week 22.

What’s in the app

Four things you do most days.

Log what you ate, ask a question, check a food, see where you stand. Each one follows the week you’re in.

Log

Log a meal with a photo.

Frame the plate and the app reads it. You confirm each item, adjust a portion, or drop what it got wrong.

  • Confidence on every item. Salmon at 92%, yogurt dressing at 64%, so you know what to double-check.
  • See what moved. After this lunch, iron climbs 17 points and DHA 40.
  • No camera handy? Search a food or pick one of your favorites.

Coach

Ask the coach. See where the answer came from.

Every answer carries numbered sources. When the evidence is thin, the coach says so and points you to your care team.

  • Pick the voice. Warm and practical with one action at a time, or evidence first with citations expanded.
  • Read the source. A source opens the passage the answer was drawn from.
  • Knows your week. It starts from your focus, such as iron at week 22.

Is it safe?

Look up a food before you eat it.

Safe, caution or avoid, with the reason in a sentence or two. The answer is about the specific food, not a blanket list.

  • Feta. Fine if pasteurized. Check the label, and skip deli counters that can’t tell you.
  • Albacore tuna. One 4 oz serving a week. Skipjack or salmon give you the same omega-3s.
  • Runny eggs. Cook until yolk and white are firm, or use pasteurized eggs.

Targets

Targets that move with your week.

Nine nutrients, each measured against its own pregnancy target, such as 27 mg of iron a day. The app names your biggest gap and shows foods that close it.

  • Iron, folate, calcium, protein, DHA, choline, vitamin D, fiber and hydration.
  • Biggest gap first. After lunch, choline sits at 44% of 450 mg.
  • A glucose strip when it applies. Add gestational diabetes in setup and it appears.

In-range band 70–130. One excursion one hour after lunch (131). Sample day.

Set up

Answer three questions, you’re in.

Guidance follows your week, not an average pregnancy. Skip any question and change your answers later in Me, the profile tab where your account and settings live.

Step 1 of 3

When are you due?

Your due date sets the week, the trimester and every target. Not sure yet? Nutribump estimates from your last period.

Estimated due dateJan 20, 2027Second trimester · 125 days to go

Step 2 of 3

Anything your care team is watching?

Only if it applies. Most people skip this.

  • Gestational diabetes or GD riskAdds a glucose strip and carb pacing
  • Low iron or anemiaPrioritizes iron and absorption timing
  • High blood pressure or preeclampsia watchTracks sodium and adds provider alerts
  • Vegetarian or veganShifts protein, B12 and DHA sources

Step 3 of 3

How should the coach talk to you?

You can change this any time.

  • Warm and practicalPlain language, one action at a time
  • Show me the evidenceCitations expanded by default
  • Clinician mode tooI’m also seeing patients

Then create your profile. Sign up to save your answers, so your week and targets are waiting on any device.

Plan. Meals and recipes built around iron, choline and steady carbs.

It adapts. The plan regenerates when a target shifts by more than 15%, and your provider can push changes.

For clinicians

One roster. The patients who need you first.

Switch to clinician view to see who is off target this week, review their logs, and push a plan change.

  • Flags that mean something. Three days outside a target band, or one glucose excursion above 140 after a meal.
  • Review in one tap. Open a row to see the logs behind the flag.
  • Changes land in the plan. Your adjustment shows up in the patient’s Plan tab.

Questions

Before you sign up.

Is this medical advice?

No. Guidance is grounded in evidence-based nutrition information and is educational. Decisions stay with you and your care team.

Where do the coach’s answers come from?

Each answer cites the guideline it came from, and you can open the passage. When the evidence is thin, the coach says so and points you to your care team.

What if I have gestational diabetes?

Add it in setup. The app adds a glucose strip with a 70–130 mg/dL band and paces carbohydrates across meals and snacks, paired with protein and fat.

Does it work for nausea and other symptoms?

Yes. Tap what you’ve felt today, from nausea and heartburn to leg cramps and trouble sleeping. Patterns show up next to your meals over the last 14 days.

When does my plan change?

The plan regenerates when a target shifts by more than 15%. If you have a provider connected, they can also push changes.
